I need help installing a carbon fiber trunk. I can't seem to get the corners near the windshield of the trunk back to sit flush with the car. It's just so proud. Do I need to get rip of the rubber weather strip. At first I thought the torsion bar was in the way so I took it out but that didn't solve it. What else do I need to do for it to sit flush. I'm dying to get this thing in.

Yeah, you have to take out the OEM weatherstripping unfortunately.
I went to home depot and replaced it with their automotive one in the Hardware department.
I never was able to get all of the info on getting it to sit flush.
Also, you have to take the tension out of the bars which I was never able to do... with that said, DO NOT POP your trunk!!
Eventually I got lazy and left it :P
oh and finally, I believe the latch on the body that hold the trunk down is adjustable (so I was told) and had it adjusted.
I manage to get the tension bar out. I guess next step in to replace the weatherstripping with a thinner one. I am very impress with the CF trunk weigh. Was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to put it in last in.
Heh, yeah it took me a lot longer than I had thought.
I don't know how other people did it, but I ended up shimming the bars that the trunk slides on...
