USA Trans swap question

I have a 96 camry 5S-FE with a A140E trans which is starting to slip. Can it be swapped with a A140E from a 92? The manual lists it as the same but the shift solenoid connector looks different. Has anyone ever swapped transmissions is there any other differences?

I assume thats going to be because the 92 is OBDI and the 96 is OBDII. Not sure if that affects the tranny wiring or if the solenoids in the tranny are different. TRD4Life probably knows.

Thanks for the reply. After further checking it looks like its the park, neutral switch connector. I went into the parts look up and overhaul parts kit for these transaxles seem the same but they list 3 different transaxle assy. I hope TRD4life replys.
