4th Generation Slight vibration in tach/RPM needle

Hey,

I have a 1999 camry that runs fine and starts great no problems, its just that when I'm stopped and in drive the tach/RPM needle will basically idle around 800 but what it'll do is kinda of vibrate in that one spot. When I first start up the car, its not really there but after a little bit of driving and coming to a stop, the vibration in the needle is noticeable if you take a close look and there is a very slight vibration also felt in the brake.
Thanks!

You might want to post a video, but it sounds pretty normal to me -- especially if it's the 5S-FE (4 cylinder)...not the smoothest idling motor in the known universe.

hehe, i got the same no matter how many times i clean TB & IAC, even with all filters fresh, right after tune up i could still see it if taking a closer look
it gets a tad worse over time (few months of heavy driving), no worries, normal i think too.

you can try cleaning TB & IAC (use toothbrush to clean also both sides and edges of throttle plate too), it helps to bring down the engine speed variation to minimum ... unless you have other problem like throttle plate sticking or not getting fully closed at idle (this one affects operation of brake booster at idle).

Thanks you guys, really appreciate it. I tried getting a video of it /w my iphone and the needle was vibrating, but I guess my iphone camera wasn't powerful enough to capture it because the needle looks steady when I replay the video. In the meantime, I guess its OK according to the posts....

Also, I got a quick question...my wiper blades sit a little high for some reason when in the "off" position I'm sure due to ice/snow etc and I was wondering is there any way to adjust them to get them to sit as low as possible?
