hey guys,
went to picknpull today, and got these 2 projectors off of a bmw 5 series, for 2 bucks each (cashier didn't know what they were, lol), anyway the question is will the fit on my 1995 camry? they are 2.5inch diameter.
I was thinking of doing the hid setup later, but i don't think the stock will fit through these:
ok so I read the diy on the gen4 projector retrofit, but I don't understand a few things, first it says the back of the projectors are to go through the front of the headlight, bit isn't it to big, to go through? also do you have to drill the projectors on? and last whats a shroud? sorry kind of a newb here, and ya if these don't work, i guess ill be returning them?
You got a good deal read up on retrofits, there are a bunch on this forum just use the search button, its your best friend.
As to your questions, yes they fit, our 3.5's are huge and can fit most projectors. A shroud is a used to cover up the front of the projector to cover stray light from coming out the side, you can easily DIY for that, as the project will be a DIY anyway.
You'll have to use a dremel to make the projector fit in, and remember to make your projectors adjustable using screws and springs so that you can align them later on.
dang ya wana pick some out for me we dont got a pick-n-pull here
ill give ya the cash for a pair plus shipping lol
lols sure, I saw alot of hyundais with projectors, but for those you gotta buy the whole headlight, take off the lens, and then get the projectors out, the beamer was a projector itself so it was easy to take out, if you guys are seriously interested I will go take alook

dude i would do it on the stocks first just to get an idea that's what i did i do plan on redoing them with the aftermarket headlights and yes the hole in the back was one of the complicated things to do perfectly because i was aiming mine and cutting to fit into the perfect place right then and there then siliconed it in so my hole was a lot bigger than needed lol i have some links that helped me out with the whole process i was a complete newb with no experience and mine turned out really good. btw great freakin deal man next time your there look for ballasts and ignitors there built into the bmw headlights
i did mine one shot..came out great..not perfect but good enough
it's a lot of work to do it twice...but it's up to you
yea mine came out fine and yur right i regret not doing it with the aftermarkets first lol but the next time i do it i think it will look more professional lol..hopefullly
