Although I was not the one who locked that thread I'd say it was in violation of the Forum Rules regarding street racing:

14. Any thread regarding street racing can and will be locked without notice.

And before anyone points out the existing thread in Off Topic about speed, What's The Fastest You've Seen A Car Speed, as being the same thing it's not. The difference is that thread asks people about what they've seen, as opposed to talking about how fast you personally have driven or what mods you did to drive that fast. That's too close to street racing for comfort IMO.

ah, thanks for explaining that. I was wondering, since I didn't see any actual racing reference, but I understand where you're coming from on this one.
