So im racin a chick with the 08 5 speed 1.8 liter stock corolla this coming wendsay and im already putting in a CAI which should help im also going to be taking the back seats out lol is there anything else i can do to up my chances i cant lose to a corolla let alone a chick drivin it ill never live it down haha btw ima post the vid up with the results haha. I forgot to mention i will be running fuel injector cleaning shit up until the day of the race because my car has never had it done so it cant hurt.
Cool dude haha! With that CAI your sure to get some good air flow, with your weight reduction that corolla stands no chance haha! dont forget to take out the spare tire, another 8lbs that your car doesnt need <-- in that order
shouldn't be, he made no mention of street racing. Racing is fine, as long as it's done in the right environment.
& I hope you win, lol.
There is hope, my basically mechanically stock Camry kept up with a Ford Focus hatch, til it came time to switch gears, the Camry's slush box kept her back. My Camry does beat Stock Civics, so you should win, if anything, minor weight reduction & you should be fine.

I was talking to him yesterday on AIM. This is why that "auto tranny launch" thread is there. HE DID SAY TRACK DRAG RACING. The corolla weighs about 1000 less WITHOUT the driver and has about the same torque and horsepower numbers. She apparently "weighs at least 220". I figured, as long as he launches and shifts right and sheds as much weight as he can out of the car, he should be able to cut it close. He has a Gen 4 5S-FE LE Auto by the way.

We don't condone illegal street racing in TN, and we don't allow any talk of it either.
If this is happening on a street i suggest you stop posting about it and do not post the video.

sunshine speedway its in walking distance from my house. Yea my bad about not mentioning the track part haha sorry an yea i mean the main thing im worried about is the fact that i have an autotragic an she has a 5 speed lol but we will see. anyone have any little tricks or treats lol yea ima shed as much weight as possible without destroying anything lol btw thanks lynch for that info i will deff try and perfect it as much as possible before hand so can i still post the vid....?
why do you say that because of the auto vs 5 speed?
Definitely. The auto camry is a whole second slower than the 5-speed camry.
That's if they're both in perfect condition. My advice is to remove EVERYTHING. Rear seats and backs, passenger seat, trunk mats and plastics, spare, jack, tire iron, radio, etc. Shit I would completely gut it. No carpet, no nothing. Just a drivers seat, shifter and steering wheel
bypass the A/C compressor with a different belt...
