4th Generation Rebuilding Camry

Due to the piston bearings of a piston shredding into nothing, we decided to take the engine out and rebuild the car completely and save some money. Now we're on the reassembly part, and I'm stumped on a certain area.

On the right side of the head, there's a tube and under it, there is a threaded hole. I was wondering what goes there.

These pictures are here for reference. I have highlighted this hole.

Are you sure that hole is threaded? Either way, if that is just below the coolant port where the sensor assembly bolts (which connects to the upper rad hose) then absolutely nothing goes there.

I took a look at my engine, Judd is right I think there is a threaded plug there. Mine looks recessed more although hard to see with everything assembled.

It connects the transmission to the engine. The one bolt goes near the exhaust manifold, and the two bolts go to the side of the transmission.

Thanks!

One last thing. Does anyone have a picture of how the spark plug coils are situated?

Thanks! I think these should be the last questions. Thank you guys SO much for your help.

I was wondering if anything went on the threads behind the thread. I used a picture above and highlighted it what I meant.

And I wondering where these two went:

Thanks again guys!

the bracket on the right is right on the front of the engine, it mounts between the exhaust and motor, if I recall correctly, for the one on the left I don't know, it doesn't look like anything I messed with on my car.

as for the bit in the photo if I recall its for a large brass tube and its fits in place with a nut around it that screws it in, what its for I don't remember.

The brass tube is for the EGR valve. It's really simple when you see it.

The other things are the exhaust stays that go under the oil pan. It's kinda complicated to explain but without them you'll have a rattle of metal on metal and it's not good.

now I think I remember, its for the vacuum crap on the backside of the intake manifold, looking at the last photo I posted you can see the round thing with the vacuum lines on it at the very top, it has a brass tube that runs down the from it to that spot you highlighted.
