Today I went to Advance Auto & they installed some new Trico NeoForm wipers for me that they had on sale, buy one wiper, 2nd 1/2 off! I love them so far & they look so cool! They are so quiet! The winter months killed my last set of Duralast Conventional type wipers!....
i got thoes foam one too. not all that impressed. they are supposed to minimize streaking and pressure points. to test it i bought one regular rain-x for the passenger side and one foam one(cant remember brand). the foam one streaks in large chunks, the rain-x streaks in very small spots.
i think some of the problem is my someteen year old windsheild with chips and such from old age.
Anco Contour. They're decent but certainly not 15 each. Maybe I say I say they're decent only cause my old ones squeeked all across the glass unless the whole windshield was wet.
One complaint though is that the end of my 19" doesnt conform to the glass, so there is some overhang. Nothing to write home about.
anco had a 15 off rebate, so assuming i get my rebate check, 5 dollars a blade isnt bad.

As an Advance Auto Parts salesman I can honestly say you did right. I have them on my 99 Camry and they work wonders.
They're a unibeam design with a rubber coating over the spring. They flex easily but not so easy that they don't wipe. The mounting bracket is a little more durable then the Bosch Icon (competition which we also sell) and the blade will last you about a year if not more (if you take care of them).
Never go with Rain-X. The metal (weatherbeater's) frames are so thin that they bend in high winds. I've seen customers come back from a long trip and thruway travel and the bottoms get bent inwards. The Rain-X lattitudes are ok. My dad has them on his Exploder and they get the job done. They get it done noisily, but they get it done. They also have a chance of separating from the mounting bracket since it's a universal design that involves removal of the bracket for several applications.
Trico makes a slightly more durable blade that has a thicker metal frame and a Teflon rubber that will actually last longer and take more abuse then a conventional wiper blade. They also have a great standard blade that still does better then the Rain-X weatherbeater performance and life wise that is half the price.
Bosch makes great wiper blades. Their metal framed ones are pretty decent and the Icon is just as good as the Trico Neoform. The only thing that worries me is the mounting bracket. It's made from a thin plastic that looks fragile. However, the way they are mounted to the unibeam is superior to the Trico. So, if the part that attaches to the arm breaks, you're screwed, but the rivets will most likely not separate from the bottom metal plate of the bracket. The Trico Neoform has a great design from the arm to the bracket but poor design from the bracket to the unibeam. So, each has their downfall.
The Neoforms have lasted me through the winter and a 6 hour (12 both ways) trip of constant use due to rain all the way down and all the way back on my trip. They were constantly on, at thruway speeds in excess of 70MPH. They have not bent, nor have they lost any performance. I am very happy with them.
Advance Auto Parts current deal makes the Neoforms around $30 for almost every application. Takes about $10 off the normal price.
Keep in mind kiddies, your gen 4's take 19" blades for the passenger side and 21" for the driver. Don't get sold on those "two pack" deals they have out there with the same inch wiper blades as a pair. New cars (cars more specifically) don't have the same length wiper arms in almost all situations. (Give or take a few)

interesting insights. since my wiper blades are worn and i was about to replace them this weekend, especially that i got new windshield installed last tuesday. so, Trico NeoForm it will be. i don't care about wiper blade price much as i replace them once a year (yes rain-x Weatherbeater last that long for me for last 4 years same, 0 trouble).
and yeah havin 19'' passenger and 21'' driver makes all "dual deals" go bye bye hehe... my solara is no better, i need 22'' & 21'' combo for it.

just picked up trico neoform blades (22 & 21'' for my ride) and got them installed. nice stuff!
they sit flush, better than former rain-x Weatherbeater (yeah this was it, i was wrong about latitude which i never used) which i used to use for last 4 years replacing once a year. also neoforms clear windshield better, almost crystal clear, though i have new windshield now, so it might be it too.
although, i saw they can also cause a little streaking on end (much less than old type blades though), but in fact zero streaks in middle. as posted above, they sell them in AAP on promo buy 1 get 2nd 50% off, i paid around $33 with taxes for them, but as i posted i don't care about blades price much.

Michelin's or Duralast for me. I use them on all my company cars. I usually get the Duralast brand, but sometimes Michelin's go on sale for the same price.
