3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I would suggest to replace the flasher relay, sounds like its failing on you, maybe a solid state one without the actual clicking relay so that if at one point down the road you want to use LED lights you could and not worry about it. the normal relay needs the load a standard bulb puts on the system and wont work with the little load an LED would put on it.

Yeah, Judd is right, it;s most likely the flasher relay. It's in behind the drivers side foot kick panel. I'll take a picture tomorrow if you like. Just let me know. I have a some spare Flasher Relay's as well (I can test to make sure they are good) if you want one cheap. Just let me know. You can also get one from your local junkyard.

Thanks for the info.
I talked to a local parts store here and they have nothing titled 'flasher relay' for a 94 Camry. Would it be called something else? Is there a OEM Part # for this?
Also once I get the part, is it just the question of simply removing the wires going into the old relay and reconnecting to the new one?
Went to a autowrecker and looked behind the driver foot side behind the hood release puller (of a Camry 94) and all I could find was three plugs, one black and the other a color I do not remember. The black was to the right. But all these have wires going into them. I thought it was just like a fuse or a relay, just a plug in.
I found the said relay in my car. The part # is 81980-12070. Would anyone have a flasher relay to spare to be shipped to Ontario, L5N 2S8 Canada?
Let me know the price please.
Regards
www.1sttoyotaparts.com has them for $35.24 US. Would also have to add $9.95 shipping. Your part number has been superseded to 81980-AA021, FYI.
It's a very common part for Toyotas from 1990 to to the late 1990's on almost all their products. I would think you could find a Toyota in a salvage yard that would have this flasher still in it for a lot less.
