I have a 1999 Camry LE - 4 cylinder with about 92K miles on it. I recently cracked the left (driver side) corner light on this car. I decided to replace it - I think I got a good deal on flea bay - $14 for a new one shipped. I thought this would be a piece of cake but when I opened up the hood all I am seeing is that the corner light is held in place by a small rod extensions that sits in a slot in the body of the car (just behind the front headlights). I dont see any screws/bolts holding it

How do I get this thing out?

Almost feel like I should just yank it out but scared I could end up damaging or breaking something.
Thanks in advance.
