3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Some of you guys have expressed interest in perhaps participating in a group
buy of rear swaybars for Gen3 Camrys from Whiteline
(http://www.whiteline.com.au). The price is supposed to be in the vicinity
of $200 CDN (** not confirmed yet **). If you are interested please respond
ASAP so that the details can be worked out.
Ratko - Not sure how long it would take. The details haven't been worked out.
CamryRR - Sure. But, it was really geared towards ppl in T.O. to try and save shipping costs. If you do decide to participate and want it shipped to Montreal, I don't think there's any significant savings. However, you cld pick it up from Toronto. We'll keep you updated.
I think they make front sway bars for Gen4 too.

We'll probably wait till the guys on Camryman install their's and see what they think of it. As I said before, it would be hard for Dickson to give us an accurate review since he is doing his springs and struts at the same time.
Ratko, I guess it may take till September anyway, so we'll count you in for now?
Ben, how thick is your TRD one compared to the Whiteline Gen4 one?? I say stay with the TRD one.

The reviews from CMPL are out. Consensus seems to be that the sway bar does seem to improve handling, installation is a breeze and the price is right. Can I get a response from those that are seriosly interested please so that we can get this grp buy going.
well my sway bar is dead and it has to be replaced i already got a TRD replacement comming in but i hate waiting.Plus i think its cheaper then my TRD one anyways.anyways keep me informed i might not be in TO but i wish i was..
Aiyah!! I backed out of my deal with that Ben guy in the US to support our own group buy, only to have Darryl snap it up. Guy has got to get with the program.
Yes, I'm in for the swaybar. Maybe we can have them shipped to one of the guys in Chicago that we'll be meeting up with, and bring it across the border tax free??

If he want he should come down and we set up a meet and i could help install all this stuff on there cars. From what i hear they are comming down in august so they should take advantage of our poor $$
Dickson, I'll buy the bar off you and install it on my car. That way, the review of the bar will be more accurate than yours, because you are changing your whole suspension along with it. It will be hard to say how much improvement the swaybar made. What do you think??

Jeff: With 18"s & suspension, your car is probably way too good to tell the difference with the Whiteline swaybar on. It'll probably true to the fact that handling is so great right now the swaybar will help just a little to its own.
I think I'm more desperate than you are to put the bar on the car man.
