Exclamation removing dash from 2000 camry

Hello,

I'm a new member to this forum. We have a problem! There is a dead mouse in the air vent. It's on the right side of the dash and it looks like the entire dash needs to come off. Does anyone know how to remove the dash? We already looked in the squirrel cage and the smelly mouse is not there. It seems to be in the right air vent. Any advice will be appreciated.

Welcome. . .

Why'd you kill the poor little mousie??? j/k

There are online PDF files that guide you through this as well the seach function to help you out.

You might do a seach for "heater core replacement" or something like that.

Take a look here and it should give a good idea of what you're in for.

On my 95 I could pop out the "outer" louvers but not the center ones w/out tearing anything apart but I doubt this will get you the access you need.

Look for the Gen 4 info and then drill into the applicable section. . . A/C should do it. . .

** Be careful of the bright yellow wire harness's as those are the SRS system ** Follow applicable precautions...

Many thanks to "DrXenon" on ToyotaNation for providing these manuals.

Thanks for your help. These diagrams may do the trick!

The poor little mousies keep going into my car and committing suicide. If I could stop them, I would but they are attracted to it for some reason. This is the third time we've had to remove a dead one. The other two were in the squirrel basket and much easier to get out. Pity my poor husband who is attempting to do the work.

Maybe they were "the three blind mice" I heard so much about when growing up!! I always wondered what happened to them.

how we got to Three blind Mice is too funny for the timing if nothing else. G/F recently had a bout with mice in garage. Too my surprise we find three in a trap at once! Apparently "licking" the peanut butter wasn't good enough for one of them! Sad, but also funny as hell! Greed Kills!
