3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
What are the interior colors that the 3 gen came with in the US, because I have a tan interior that is like a camel color, and I am looking for the shrouds around the interior door handles and the drivers door interior skin panel. Are they all a deep tan color with exception for the leather interiors?
Your best bet would be a Junk Yard, or preferably a Pick and Pull, to find the items you seek. The Door panel should be easy. Your color interior is pretty common for the Gen 3/3.5.
The door handle bezels, well you'll have to have some luck. You can always order those at the Dealership.

ya know I thought that it was common, but there are 7 3 gens at my local yard, (including a white on gold 2 tone collectors edition loaded camry) I want to take all the interior off of that because its full leather and really nice shape but the rear seat back is missing and the drivers door panel is missing... sucks... but the other 6 have a grey interior....
yes purple....do you have a problem with that?????
Ha. Not to get into specifics but that's kind of a purple-brown combo thing. I was thinking more along the lines of a car decked out from the factory entirely in the color in the center strip of this door
I'd have found that a little headache inducing. Quite like the Camry though

nice... haha purple... That would be pretty sweet... Guess im off to steal the leather seats... hey what will i need to have the power seats, because that is what they are, will I have to wire something or what?
Toyota has the interior color code on the interior door panel. You'll see in the lower right hand corner of the sticker something in the format "C/TR: 3C9/F13" for example. The interior color code would be "F13" in this case. Good way to be sure the donor car is the EXACT same color as yours. Note that leather and fabric interiors get DIFFERENT codes regardless if they are the same color.

You'll need to run a 12v supply to the seat. Simple wiring.

My interior is blue. It feels like I'm riding in an old caprice cop car. Except a lot cleaner and japanese feeling. haha This color must not have been all too popular though. There are about 20 of these in my local junkyard, and none are blue interior so hopefully I won't be needing interior parts or I'll be replacing everything in there.

Yes, you'll have to run wires to get power to the seats.

Officially 92-94 interiors were Gray,Taupe(grayish/purple),Blue,Oak(tan). 95-96 they eliminated the Blue.
Yes, the "official" colors often have these weird names. On my Gen4, most of the interior stuff is "Sage" which is somehow a shade of light gray.
If you go to toyotapartszone.com and enter your car's vin, then go look up interior body parts, it can usually tell you the correct color for most interior parts.
As far as shrouds on the interior door handle, if you don't want to buy OEM from toyota (or if your color's discontinued), I've had pretty good luck buying a whole interior door handle aftermarket assembly from eBay for a pretty low price. I sent one company a piece of my broken one to make sure they could match the color. I think the company was abcmart.
