Strange clicking noise coming from inside dash?

I hear a single click, which seems to be coming from inside the dash on the driver-side, somewhere around the speedometer cluster and almost after each time I hit a bump. It's not coming from my axle, however. Anyone know what the hell this annoying little noise is?

This could be coming from the steering wheel also. It does make a click when I turn the steering wheel. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Only when you turn the wheel? During accel and/or braking? Does it sound like a screw bouncing around in there?

Does it sound like a relay or a vacuum valve opening and closing?

Both turning the wheel and accel./braking. It doesn't really sound like a screw bouncing around either. Everything is tight as far as screws go. It's like a mix between a clicking and tapping noise.

i'm not too sure how that sounds like but it's a possibility. i guess it's most prevalent when braking and accelerating. happens maybe every other time i brake or accelerate.
