1MZFE V6 Timing belt kit prices

Hi:

I am looking around for deals on a timing belt and water pump kit for my 1996 V6 Gen3 Camry. I found the following:

1. Ebay - Looks pretty decent with OEM components ($246)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...#ht_2226wt_939

2. Amazon - Also looks pretty good at $263, but the Water pump is not OEM(?). They have thrown in a thermostat and gasket from what I can see.
Amazon Amazon

Are these good deals? When I checked 1stToyotaparts, it seemed like it would cost more there.

Thanks!

^ +1. And don't use a kit! Just buy the parts you need. Here's the parts lists and shop manuals.

I downloaded the manual and have it on my computer just in case. As for the kit, it seems to contain all the OEM parts that are recommended for a timing belt change. Buying these parts separately will probably cost more, if 1sttoyotaparts.com's catalog prices are a good indication. I wanted to know if I can get a better deal elsewhere that you guys know of, and what else to add to this list.

The EBay list is:
Timing Belt 13568-09080
Idler Roller 13503-62030
Tensioner Roller 13505-20010
Front Crankshaft Seal 90311-40013
Front Camshaft Seals 90311-38034
Water Pump 16100-29085
Water Pump Gasket 16271-20020
Hydraulic Tensioner 13540-20021
Power Steering Belt 4PK-875
A/C / Alternator Belt 6PK-1035

I think the only things that are missing from this list are possibly the thermostat+gasket and oil pump seal + O-ring.

rockauto.com sells now AISIN timing belt kit that consists of OEM parts: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1798472
Currently it is $215, but sometimes it is on sale for 130-170.

That kit looks like it has has no seals, and no drive belts. That kit from ebay is a good deal. But keep in mind that none of those kits (that I have seen) come with a new water pump, they are rebuilt. Nothing wrong with that, just FYI. I also prefer genuine Toyota drive belts. They are expensive at the dealer but they are the best and last forever.

I bought all aftermarket parts from AutoZone and spent about $160 for the complete kit. WP, T-Belt, Thermostat, Tensioners, New Serp Belt, 2 Gallons of Coolant and New Autolite Plat Plugs.

That rockauto's kit has NEW AISIN (OEM) water pump. And... You get what you paid for.

However, that 11 pcs ebay timing belt kit for $246 looks very good, if it really consists of OEM parts. ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120524632280). I'd go with it.

Thanks guys! I have asked the EBay seller if the items are new or rebuilt/remanufactured. I will let you know what he says.

When i did my 2002 about 4 years ago - you could find everything but the #1 idler on line or at the auto parts. Only the dealer had the #1 idler (1FMZE has two idlers as you probably know - #1 idler is what toyota calls the idler wheel on the cast aluminum piece that the belt tensioner pushes against).
