3rd Generation 1k$ Cars mid life crisis.

The 93 camry is about to hit 150,000 Miles, ill call it the cars mid life crisis time. I'd like to put about 1,000$ buck into her, she's more than earned it.

Most labor will be done with me, so that won't be included into pricing.

Now 1,000 bucks includes a much needed clutch, and possible timing belt.

Bottom line is, what would you do with the money?

Ideas so far.
-Chipping hood get it painting... or CF if I can find a local used one.
-General paint all around, but a good job is out of my price range.
-Full suspension all around.
-HID upgrade. -> not that uber important cost vs. the idea mine work fine.
-Adding a SUB into my sound system.
-Something other than hub caps, but would realistically need a rear disc brake conversion to make it look pretty.
-Being the cars half life, I'd love to make the car a bit more comfortable seating option is limited are any "race" seats Uber comfy?

Clear fronts, and a different style gauges is the extend of what I've done to her.

Something other than hub caps.

And u plan on doing all that with 1000? Or being realistic and picking 1. I'd use it all on the parts keeping her rolling. Cluch, timing belt, plugs, hoses, plug wires, and chang all fulids. P.s. Trans, oil, and the most over looked brake fluid change

I think 1k won't leave you with much left over if you have in mind to do the timing belt as well as the clutch. It depends, are you doing the work yourself?

i wouldn't factor te timing belt into that 1k cause it's a must do. i would upgrade the suspension and upgrade the brakes to a v6 setup and get pontiac g6 5spoke steel rims then you can run snow tires.
contact asg14 he is in CT

^ agreed. suspension and brakes first. you can search around and find all of the cheap visual upgrades that really make a big difference on these cars.

not agreed. (well kinda) If you don't have a TRD/Whiteline Rear swaybar, get one! Then I would get some nice 16" wheels, something wider than stock with a good set of rubber. The upgrade in traction and stability will inspire you to spend some more hard earned cash on it later on.

HOW DID I FORGOT THE TRD REAR SWAY BAR?!?! If you don't have either that or the whiteline version.... oh man. It's the best $150 you can throw at the gen 3/4 camry.

hey guys...sway bars are part of the suspension...

and you want to go with a drop before you get wheels and tires. its MUCH easier to match a set of wheels to a drop then a drop to a set of wheels.

when i put upgrade the suspension i was thinking that.
bigger brakes are a safety and visual upgrade cause we know how nice drums look
what you'll need is:
es300/camry wagon rear disc brake assemblies and e-brake cables (all this bolts in)
es300/avalon 2 piston calipers w/brackets and v6 rotors or 98 supra tt rotors and adapter brackets from trd4life "gabe"
steering rack bushings from superpro (my car feels much better now) trd4life also has these.

the struts and springs are up to you and the trd rear sway bar is awsome due to adjustability but the whiteline one is also a good choice

good luck

You forgot to mention 17"+ wheels and tires to go with the supra tt front brakes.
