92 camry no Spark? igniter maybe?

Washed the engine bay sat morning let it dry for about an hour started and ran fine. started it about 2 hours later and it ran for about 10mins then died.
Tried starting it several times and nothing turns over and is getting fuel, i suppose i can smell it. Pulled a plug and there is no spark. Car has 213000km on it and runs good has Custom CAI, and custom grounding kit both have been on it since i got it. My father thinks it is the igniter. Is this a common problem or has anyone had this happen to them.
New to this forum and any help that would point me in the right direction would be of great help.

Which engine; I4 or V6 and how many miles on it?

In either case, take the distributor cap off and try to dry the underside of the cap and the distributor itself with a hair drier. Then reassemble the cap and try to start the car. If it still doesn't start, I would next check the coil inside the distributor. The coil causes a lot more problems than the ingitor on these cars, especially when they rack up lot's of miles on them. To check the coil you will need a digital volt/ohmeter and the specs from any manual. If you don't have a manual you can download one for free at the top of the Camry forum, over at AutomotiveForums.com. Download the generation 3 manual. Also remove the coil and inspect it carefully for cracks, even if it specs out OK.

So pulled the coil out and it has a crack around the outside of the screw hole. i didnt think that would have caused the engine to no longer get spark with that size of crack but there has been a coil on order for the past week just in case. I hope this solves the problem
