'00 5s-fe VSV for EVAP canister vacuum line frozen on port
i have a problem with troubleshooting one of vacuum lines connecting to VSV for EVAP (by air cleaner box) on one side and going to a steel line which goes to EVAP canister on the other end (by the tank i think). this is NOT about the vacuum line going from VSV for EVAP to port E on Throttle Body.
this vacuum line looks suspicious, it's very hard to touch, feels stiff and looks shiny (like glazed) on the end. i removed the clamp and tried pulling it out from VSV for EVAP port to no avail. it seems frozen/baked/glued or something. i tried spraying some cleaners (deep creep and wd-40) but i cannot remove it. i left it alone for now, didn't want to break things up.
what can cause the canister vacuum line to look like that ? how do i remove it without breaking plastic VSV into pieces or cutting the rubber line ?
do you think there might be something wrong with canister itself based on rubber line look/feel ? i will try getting a pic of it later after work.
