Driver Side Door Wiring?

So New Speakers And my Driver side does not work still.

Took alligator clips right up to the stero, and it works fine, so somewhere within those wires from stero to Speaker is a problem,

Maybe its why my Passenger side windows dont work either.

I check under my kick panel everything seems connected in that Blue box thing. i check for wires that are broken.
Couldnt find anything i was going to check the rubber thing that connects the door n Frame of car, But i have no clue how to get it off.

Plus i have no clue where the problem would really be.

Im guessing it within there, but seeing the wires are rapped in this stuff. i figures its impossible to know.

Anyone have any clue or experienced this?

I was gonna run my own wire but thats also impossible.

Test for continuity.

At work I usually pick up our fluke meter. So you would want to pull out the stereo and touch one end to the drivers side positive speaker wire in the factory harness, and then the other to the positive spot on the speaker.

Do the same with the negative and see which one or both of the wires are broke.

I've also heard of testing speakers by using a 9 volt battery. You should hear it pop when you hook it up.

I think your guess about the wire being shorted inside of the gasket in the door is the most likely culprit.

^+1 Maybe one of your wires is cut somewhere that you don't see. I guess I got lucky when I put my Pioneers in that it worked right away

I just bought brand new speaker i was putting them in thats why i posted this cause they still dont work well driver side doesnt.

I tried doing this Putting my meter on OHMS n testing for n were the wire would be broke but no signs, just readed 1.
I tested the wired for power
the Stero is giving power if i hook the Speaker right up using alligator clips to the speaker it works fine.

As i think you are right about it being in the gasket now is it a easy fix? cause i think all the wires are wrapped in this stuff to make it impossible to get to.
or should i just have a mech. do it for me?

Yeh im guessing there cut somewhere but Its not at my kick panel or in the stero compartment rest of the wires are just covered so i cant see them rest cause they go into the driver door.

Check for continuity, which you've done. Check for broken wires in the rubber boot in the door. Don't start new threads for the same issue. I think that's it.

^ Good question. After you have the door panel off, take a look at where the boot connects to the door. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Take off the door panel. Take off the kick panel. Look at the boot. Decide how to remove it. (My guess is that it will just pop out of the door with some force.) Remove the ends of the boot connected the door to the kick panel.
