oxygen sensor bypass

I was looking to see if there is a way to bypass the oxygen sensor as to fool the ECU in thinking that the O2 sensor is functioning properly.

get a denso good stuff, your fuel econ will not go back to normal unless that sensor there to let it know if it's rich or lean.

also it shouldn't go out too often it might be where your getting your gas might be causing problems

I have the same problem but a little worse. I had changed the exhaust system and had changed both oxygen sensors but the tyrap that held the front one on the manifold broke. The wire from the harness melted while on the highway. I rebuilt the connector but i dont know the color codes to the wires anymore. I had 2 wires from the oxygen sensor to 3 to the harness. There seems to be a metal wire like a cable or mesh going to the harness i'm not sure if its a ground or just a shield. I'll take a picture. I own a 97 corrola 1.6... mitchell and haynes Manuel does not show this third wire in the diagrams. Ever since my front oxgen sensor has been disconnected.
