I have a quick question. My crankshaft pulley has been wobbly since I bought the car. Well, it has now almost shredded the alternator belt and looks like its about to fall off. It was never loose, it looked like it had some rubber piece that wasnt seated properly behind it when it was installed before. Needless to say, I have to replace the belt and pull the pulley off to seat it properly now. Im wondering if all I have to do is pull the pulley off and reseat it with no rubber pieces in the way so it is flush, is there any aligning i have to do? Does it only go on one way? Ive never pulled anything off like this before and want to be prepared.
Thanks! I'll add a pic soon if I can.
This is what happened to mine.
