Testing ABS Break

Hi All,

Could you please advice how can i test the ABS break during driving the car?

How to make sure that this ABS system are working properly by doing a drive test?

find empty parking lot/road get to like 20 mph slam on the brakes and you should feel the abs pulse

might be easier if you do this when the roads are wet.

Thanks you very much for the tips.

Most of the morning when i start my car, the ABS light never go off untill i off the engine and start it again. this is only happened in the morning

is this the sign of ABS getting problems?

In normal situations, the ABS light should come on briefly to show you that the bulb is working, and then it should turn off. An ABS light that's on all the time means you have problems in the ABS system, and therefore the ABS control unit shut down the system. The entire brake system behaves as a non-ABS system.

If the bulb goes off after a long time being on, you might want to check the bulb first. Register on Autozone's free repair guide and follow the procedure of pulling the diagnostics code from the ABS system to learn what's wrong.
