'00 Camry electrical issue

Hi all,

This is my first post, so I apologize if this has been asked before. I have a 2000 camry le, 4cyl and I'm having issues with my it completely dying while driving, and I mean dead. No power at all in the battery. This particular problem has happened twice over the past half year or so where I've had two new batteries, so that can't be the problem. I've also replaced the alternator, starter, and timing belt recently. A new battery gets it running and starting perfectly, but like I said it's only a band-aid on stitch wound. Any suggestions or advice? I can't really find a similar case on the web so any info would be much appreciated.

Bad neg battery cable/ ground would have been the first thing I would have looked at. Also inspect positive cable for cracks. Clean all the grounds thoroughly.

I had a similar issue. Neg battery clamp was tight but sometimes wouldn't provide ground and the car didn't want to crank.
