if your starting with no tint then you can get someone to do it for about 100-150 depending on how good you want it done. but if you have tint already then it'll be 200-or up if you want decent results

i had my tint removed and new tint put on for 200 but it was a perfect job. the cuts were hand done so they weren't straight but you cant see that unless the windows are rolled down. it did come with a lifetime warranty and i am very pleased with the overall job

i got 30% front(legal is 25 but the guy said 30 will come up as 26% on a meter) and i got 5% on the back and i love the 5%. Wouldn't mind it on the front because i love the privacy it provides and the the amount of heat it keeps out. Does kinda suck at night though

If you're using el cheapo dyed film that will turn purple in years, then it should be about $100. If you're using nano-carbon like the 3M Color Stable or Crystalline, then it should be about $200-400. That's for the rear only.

IMO 3M is the best adhesive and transparency maker. Check out the three grades: XF, Color Stable, or the most expensive Crystalline, depending on how much you want to put in the car.

In general, I personally won't go lower than Color Stable.

Id say you'll have to bite the bullet on this one. You will pay around 150 - 180 on the low side of things for a good quality tint job. This should include QUALITY tint a warranty plus you will be assured the job is done well and will last years. Oh! and not purple down the road. I think I paid around 200 for mine.

yeah im not sure where your getting 200-400 for just the rear. unless its like lazer cut and a super duper warranty.

the other thing you should think about is the place you get it from and they offer a lifetime warranty. think about in ten years, do you think they will still be there

i didnt really think about that until i had already done mine. the place i got it done at was pretty small so i think there a chance that my warranty might not matter after 10 years. but if there still there after 4 years it wont matter because ill probably be selling my car by then

yea idk what kinda tint you guys are gettin done for 200-300 lol but i have quality tint he did a very professional job i cant complain about anything for 100 an paid 15 extra for the windshield strip which helps in Florida really its gonna cost 100-150 for a quality job. what i would do if i was you is call local shops an get price quotes you could also ask ppl that have nice tint jobs on there cars an see what shop they did it at it might be worth the 10$ extra in quality. One thing i can tell you is don't cheap out an do it yourself you will seriously regret it unless you have experience doing it before every single person i know that tried fd up an eventually got it professionally done lmao. I actually saw the worst diy tint job the other day it was a perfect rectangle of tint that was in the middle of the windows lmao didn't contour or anything you would see in quality tint it was priceless hahah i would've tooken a pic if i had a camera lmfao

The basic tint usually starts at about $100. It should include ONE-PIECE films for all windows/glass. No multiple strip mosaics. All decent films should carry lifetime bubble, peel, crack, anything less than basic grade has fade to purple warranty (if the shop is still around, that's why go 3M or other major brands). They should not interfere with cell phones or GPS either unless you have to have metal films that might not pass some state's reflection rule.

Of course 3M's Color Stable nano-carbon and Crystalline using nano-technology aren't going to fade like color dyed films. But prices do vary above the basic grade, even for the same film. so call around. The $200-400 should be for two rear door windows and the rear glass using 3M's mid-grade Color Stable to their top of the class Crystalline. If you have a coupe it's cheaper. In many states it's not legal to tint the fronts.

There are cheaper brands that compete with 3M.

I think that explains it. Different areas are different in the demand part of Supply & Demand. FL has very leanient standards on modifying vehicles. So I would expect it to be a little less. Actually a lot of things are a lil cheaper in FL. I dont know anyone who would pay $300 for tints unless they were driving a really nice car and were not worried about the $$$.

in my area pricing is $25 per window with cheap tint and goes up to $45/window for better quality stuff.
some home garage enthusiasts can do that at $20 per window with good quality tint and they often do it better than "professional" shops
i don't have tint myself yet, but am thinking about it too.

I got mine done at the Aftermarket Shop up here. They are the best at it and the owner's son wanted a xbox360 so I traded him. Tint is amazing and he even gave me the smelly trees on the Rearview mirror
