Hey guys so i wanna replace all the lights on my dash/CC to blue bulbs and red bulbs, can anyone tell me where i can locate them? i know the bulbs in the CC say 203 but i cant find any info online:S there are also 2 small bulbs that came out from the A/C and defroster switches, does anyone know where to get blue LED or similair replacements? Also, i havnt taken out the cluster yet but can anyone tell me what color bulbs are for the cluster and needles? i wanan hopefully get red needles with a blue background. My final question is does anyone know what bulbs fit the shift indicators? preferable blue for L,1,2,D,N,P and red for R? any information would be greatful as most of my bulbs are already blown and my deck uses blue illumination and my audison bitone.1 has red/blue lighting thanks for ANY help, i really need some right now
back up tp[ i got the 194 bulbs, ebay has blue LED's and the 74's( for all those interested thats all the bulbs u need for a gen4 cluster) but where can i get the 203 bulb in led blue and the 2 mini bulbs from the AC/Defroster buttons? all i need is some idea on where to get those bulbs please! I checked superbrightleds.com and i couldnt figure out which ones were the right size for any of them. Also, does anyone know how to change the needle colours on the cluster? is paint or a neon style highlighter my only hope?
a/c defroster mini bulbs you can get only from the dealer. trick is that bulbs are just bulbs and color they give is actually a rubber cap (detachable) on them. you can remove it and maybe paint it to your favorite color ? though they are green standard, so your final colors would be limited.
you could try making your own custom color caps for them (must be resistant to heat).

oh wow i didnt know i could use a 74 bulb inplace of the 203:S but thanks for the link TOYOCAM WOOOOHOOOO bulbs ordered and hopefully in within the next 2weeks, needles to be painted in the next week or so in neon red, now to find those pesky little bulbs for the AC/Defroster switch................the hunt begins.............again LOL
The gauges are amazing! Couldn't have wanted everything more. The only thing is that they flicker sometimes, but it's pretty rare and I'm too lazy to look at it.
The HVAC lights leave more to be desired, but they're decent. You can see the hotspots mainly in the middle and dim spots on the side. But I've gotten used to them.
The key ring lights really well and I'm very happy with that too. No complaints with it.
does LEDs burn out? btw which bulbs do i get from superbright leds for the dash in 2000 camry
nope even if your car catches on fire you'll still have some kickass blue leds ...heres your sign they do last a longgggg time so i wouldn't worry about it. I agree with your question ive been wanting to replace the turn signals and the gear lights on the gauge cluster are they both wedge base 74's? For those wanting to change the background and your needles the sizes are both the same there 194 wedge base
for the a/c buttons, going by superbrightleds site, should be the neowedge series bulbs. i believe the neo3 and neo4 just measure the width of the base. the main thing ive found is that you must watch the height of the bulb. i ordered the smd ones elsewhere and had them hit the top of the switch and not let any light out the front.

That looks amazing toyocam99, what bulb model did you buy, the light spreads very even on the gauges!
I'm really interested in doing this mod to my current dimming/fading interior lights. I've been searching around the forums and I'm about to buy the bulbs I would need, but I wanted to clarify again which bulbs are needed for which part within the dash cluster. I always get confused when people reference instrument cluster or centre cluster. And I need to know b/c I plan to use a mix of white/blue bulbs. So correct me if I'm wrong, but a gauge cluster would only include the fuel/temp, speedo and rpm, where indicator refers to the 'PRND2L' and warnings (seat belt, highbeam, door ajar) on the dash, and shifter refers to the 'PRND2L' by the driver seat?
Here's a compiled list of items needed from what I've found on the forums...
Cluster Dash: - 4x #194 bulbs for the gauges - 6x 4mm Neo-wedge bulbs for the gear indicator of the cluster - 5x 4mm Neo-wedge bulbs for the left warning indicator of the cluster (tail lights, seatbelt, battery, etc) - 4x 4mm Neo-wedge bulbs for the centre warning indicator of the cluster - 5x 4mm Neo-wedge bulbs for the right warning indicator of the cluster (engine check, trac off, abs, cruise, oil)
Center Console: - 2x #74 bulbs for the HVAC - 1x 4mm Neo-wedge for the AC button - 1x 3mm Neo-wedge for the defrost button
Misc: - 2x #74 for the key ring - 1x #74 for the cigarette plug - 1x #74 for the ash tray - 1x DE3175 for the roof dome - 1x 2825 for the back license plate
Now my question is, has anyone found a LED bulb that won't create hot/cold spots for the dash cluster or HVAC? And do the LEDs require additional resistors? I've read that the circuit outputs 12V on each LED, where most LEDs only run off of 3-4V!
I think we should also compile a list of which bulbs currently gives the best results with the most even light spread. I'll continue to update my post when I find out more!
