Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
also, ppl are telling me that if you get HID with old headlights they will burn (uv damage).???
Unless you do a proper HID projector retrofit, HID lamps on standard halogen headlamps will produce unnecessary glare or scatter the light everywhere.

If your planning on doing hids you should get projectors first and retrofit them into your headlights, the reason is that projectors focus light and have a cutoff of light so it doesn't shine oncoming drivers in the eyes. If you just buy a plug and play hid conversion kit sure you will have running hids but there will be an intense amount of light that is just scattered everywhere not to mention a lot of glare and you will blind everyone facing you. I personally hate when ppl put hids in there car without projectors because you literally cant see anything when your facing them that's why its illegal. IF i were you i would buy this its not cheap quality like most of the crap on ebay and its cheaply priced http://store.theretrofitsource.com/p...cbfeeafcfc05ba
if you get this you will still need to buy projectors and ballasts that link is only for the relay harness to convert your stock halogen lights to run hids
buy mod express HIDs, they are a supported TN vendor and we get a discount. ive owned 3 sets and never had any issues.

I did this. Doesn't really help.

Too true, lowering doesn't help, and then you loose the added benefit of the extra light anyways by lowering the housing. I found that one out the hard way =/

I think I'm going to do that silverstar ultra bulb mod where you put on the extra gasket and chizzle away the inner two plastic lips. has anyone done this before? how does it look?

Done it. Works pretty well. I used a soldering gun with an old nasty tip to melt away the plastic.
