3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I just want to share what I have done with my Scepter Wagon. The mag wheels on my signature are outdated. I had gone back to Mark II 15s for fuel efficiency.
I have replaced my LED backlights with amber Narva bulbs. They look way brighter and I have no more hotspots. The center LED display is actually bright orange. It just became salmon or pinkish on the camera.
This aerofoil cross bar is a Scepter original. When they came out, only a few people took them. I got them from a VW enthusiast who parted out his V6 Scepter. Of course, since it's aerodynamic, it doesn't produce noise at high speeds.

The sunroof wind deflector is from an original Scepter. I believe Camrys and Scepters use the same part.
I just made my own front air dam.
Got a set of 17x7 Work Eurolines with tyres for 350NZD. It's a good deal for wheels made in Japan!!! I have already put them on but haven't yet taken a photo because it was raining.

I like what you've done with the bulbs in the cluster. Might have to do something similar to that in my Corolla, as it has always been rather dull from factory. The sunroof deflector that you've fitted is a quite a good idea too. I don't think I've seen one of those fitted to a Scepter/Camry wagon before. I'm not much of a fan of the wheels, but that's just me

The tires have, of course, a higher rolling resistance than the 15s but I get better wet traction with the 17s. The good thing about this car is that I am 20.4 above EPA in city driving. If I am going to use the car cross country, I may go say, 25 to 30 above EPA.

Next: I am planning to increase Hp from 140 to 160 at least and probably much better torque at lower rpms. I want to increase power to weight ratio somehow because I am hauling 1470 Kg all the time. With some wieght reduction mods in the cargo area, I may be able to cutoff around 30 to 50 kg and that's being very very optimistic. This is my cruiser and I am not planning to take it to the track. Most of the mods that I put are for FE, except for the wheels, of course.

I don't think you can get in channel for a gen 3 Camry their design just dosnt allow for it. They do look like they might be clip on or maybe not taped up there.
Are those in-channel window visor? i want those!! Nice wagon. Now it needs a lower drop. =)
Those are actually clip-ons. With the drop, my brother told me I needed the front lowered more even though I have already cut down 50 mm with the lowering springs. I could actually put some coil overs in but the wagon is already scraping in some areas. I can compress the front using heat treatment by 2 cm.
