Question Headlight Questions....

Welllll I've come to realize that I cant stand the yellow hue one the road from the stock headlight bulbs anymore....

My past cars have only had one bulb in them for high and low beams, this car has 2 in each headlight? 1 for low, then the second comes on for high?

So if I were to do the silverstar ultra mod (More Light For Those With 9006 Headlights) would I have to buy 2 packages of bulbs, so I would have 4 bulbs all together?

If I wanted HID's how would this work out?

What is the right size of each bulb?

Heres a picture pointing to the spots where the bulbs are so we are on the same page:

well...if your planning on getting HIDs then i would first suggest doing a projector retrofit. if your not into that, all you need to do is to buy a 9006 HID kit and hook it up. if ya want one for the highbeams...get a 9005 too.

Also if you do get a HID kit, please get an OE color like 4300k or 5000k. If you get a 10000k bulb the color is useless. You cant see jack squat from it. Good luck!

If you do get the 9006 HID kit, have it be a temporary fix and plan on doing a retrofit.. though I haven't been personally flashed when I had the 9006 kit, I aimed the headlights extremely low and there was still a fair amount of glare that I know bothers people.

^for the love of god please do a retrofit hahahaa its really not as hard as it seems and doesn't cost as much as you would think, I used my stock headlight too and you can customize it however you like its really cool actually rather than jus havin bright bulbs thatll blind everyone an trust me if a cop passes by hes not gonna be happy unless you figure out how to reduce alot of the glare youll get lol

I think I'm just going to stick with the silverstar ultra mod. Seeing the retrofit looks like too much work, and I dont have enough confidence in myself to complete this

Now back to my original question, Would I have to buy 2 sets of bulbs? how would this work? Or are they different sizes? (1 for low, 2 for high)

(look at picture above)

Yes, you'll need 2 sets of bulbs. 9006 for the low beams, and 9005 for the high beams. The bulbs closer to the corner lights are 9006, and the bulbs closer to the grille are 9005.

Dead on

But if you will put in HID's, please do a retrofit. I'm about to take out my HID kit tommorow (No projectors thought). I am sick and tired of blinding the living heck out of people (I'm a nice guy like that ). I'm actually about to PM someone about my retrofit
