Replacing Rear Factory Speakers

Probably a stupid question, but imma ask anyway. I found some cheap, yet decent Sony Xplod 6 x 9 speakers from craigslist for $20. I'd like to do a full system upgrade with an amp/amps, good speakers, subs, etc., but that isn't an option right now. Anything has to sound better than the factory garbage in the 1998. All I'm running right now is a Sony headunit.

Anyway, the specs on the Sony speakers are 4 ohms. From what I'm reading, the factory speakers are 2 ohms. Is that correct? Are they incompatable (sp?)? Can I make them compatable? Can someone post a link or give some advice to a dip#%@$ like myself? 'Preciate it!

I'm pretty sure factory speakers are 4ohm.. if anything, they should say on the speakers themselves. And if it is 2ohms, you can wire the two in parallel to achieve 2ohm resistance in the sony xplods but them you wouldn't have left and right channels.
