Feedback on rotors and warping pls.

So I have this 1993 Camry 6 cylinder, drove it for a year and then felt pulsating on the pedal at high speeds, so I figured the rotors are old, warped and changed them. That was in july of last year, now I'm getting the same thing.

The pads where changed too and recleaned, when adding the new rotors, they are good pads (nascar) and the rotors are made by Monroe.

In warm weather now they squeak too, when I come to a slow stop I hear this high pitch squeak (sounds like a bus coming to a stop)

Why are the rotors warping? One mechanic says its my driving the other says driving has nothing to do with it. I don't drive much either. I do stop in short distances thou. I'm not a hot dog, but don't drive like my granny either.

I don't know what to do? Another guy says its could be the caliper.
Have any pointers ?
Thanks kindly Liam

do you hit alot of puddles? hot brakes + cold water = warpage

also when you last changed the brakes did you grease the sliding ping?

are the anti squeel springs and shims installed? (cheap kit from toyota if not)

you can pull the disk and take them to your local shop and they will resurface them for you can you can even out your pads with some sand paper also try flusing out your brake fluid water n the fluid could be boiling causing some pulse

If your constantly riding your brakes, then it could be possible that its the way you drive.
The squealing could be the metal tab on the brakes, telling you that you need new brakes or maybe some dirt or a little rock got stuck in there. You could try spraying brakleen in there to see if it stops the squealing.

I've had cars that were sensitve to wheel stud/nut torque. Meaning, use a torque wrench everytime you put the wheel on or expect that after you get the rotors hot, they may warp and cause the pedal to pulsate.

Q? You rotate your own wheels or does the tire shop do it? If so, has EVERYONE used a torque wrench?

Also, stuck calipers, stuck or sticking slide will not allow the caliper to release completely which raises the brake and rotor temp. This can lead to warpage too. Suggest you jack it up and see that all wheels spin freely and inspect the pads for wear. As said above, the brakes will squeak with low pads as a warning to inspect them.

Note: my Bendix OEM ceramic pads squeak every so slightly in the moring while moving but only after sitting. Then are quiet after I apply them once.

I'd check the anchor pins and caliper to make sure the anchor pins are not binding and that the caliper piston actually retract when you release the brake. When the square-cut seals harden with age the piston doesn't retract and end up rubbing on the rotor. And if you don't fix this, new rotors will warp again.

Get Brembo rotors if they're available (check Amazon, Tirerack.com). Otherwise I'd recommend Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors. Use Akebono ProAct ceramic pads.

Your problem is more likely uneven deposits on the brake rotors or loose suspension components.

Before spending any money, try re-bedding the brake pads.

Find an empty stretch of straight, dry highway, and firmly brake from 60MPH to almost stopped. Repeat ten times as quickly as possible. At the end you should be smelling the hot brake pads. Drive for a few miles to let the brakes cool off.

If this eliminates the problem, you have the wrong brake pad compound for your driving style. Pick a different type the next time.
