3vz-fe Engine Swap 94 Camry?

Im wanting to get rid of my 5sfe engine for a 3vzfe swap. n do a 5 speed swap.

My concern is that will this even work?
I hear the 3vzfe are from 91 to 93 camrys?

So will my engine bay be big enough to support this, I hear it has to be mounted like 15 degree angle cause it so big.

Any info would be good?

has anyone attempted this yet?
I have around 2000 dollars i can do with to get this done.

it'll fit. you'll need ALL the wiring harness's. engine, dash, cowl, and front. all the control units(ECU,Cooling, cruise), mounts, hoses, a major pain.

although, for $2000 you can find a 92-93 with a v6 already =) ive done the swap myself, and if i had to do it again, i wouldnt lol. find a v6 to start with.

look for a 92 or 93, and rarely a 94. from 94 to 96 they used the 1mz

Cost varies.

Depends on a lot of factors so there isn't a "usual" cost.

It should be in the "thousands of dollars" range.

detuned 2jz? 400 hp? seriously? fill me in on this one man! so far i havent seen anyone with boosted 3vz/supercharged or anything(quite rare). mostly on mr2 i gues. well anyways so far the sickest cam ive seen is tonythetiger 500+ hp 1mz. hmm i guess it mainly depends on how much money you have and u can make anything run at great hp.

Yes you can, PM EEngineer. He had a 1994 5sfe Auto, now it is a 1994 3vzfe Manual. He purchased an entire car to swap all the parts from, btw it will cost you over $2000... much more if you are not doing the labour.

And btw a 3vz is NOT a detuned 2jz... they are not even remotely related... I would know this because the 2jz is not a V6 motor.

No, the 2JZ is a straight-6

BUT
the 3vz is in the same performance bracket as the 2JZ

flat torque curve, peak torque from 2000 to 4600 rpm, over 100whp at just past idle...

it's fun when it's got a row-yer-own hook ed up to that kind of motor

Swaps are expensive though; Factor in the cost of a parts-car and labour, not to mention if anything breaks from the parts car that you might need

figure around 3k, maybe less if you DIY and get a steal-of-a-deal on the parts car.

PM EEngineer, he's done this (last fall actually), best of luck

Thread jacking but ok....
Yes you can turbo your I4 Its been done alot.

Dont expect alot of performence raise like maybe to 200hp. Its rare for them to last long also.

requires around 1600 i would say. cause someone tryed to sell me the whole turbo kit for 1600.

But yeh i really wanna do this as the 3vz is rather great for performance and can preform very well also.
So who says camrys cant go fast. Just make custom turbo for the 3vz n u are good they already good for 400hp stock internals so ^_______________________^

Maybe ills save around 4000 cause im sure ill run into trouble.

N ill need 5 speed swap also.
