i wanna drop my 93 camry but want to know what you guys bought or did ... i was thinking to go with those dropzone from ebay are they anygud cuz i really dont want my car really jumpy
After extensive reading on this forum i chose the H&R sport for my car.
I have on kyb excel-g on the front and kyb gr2 on the rear with the h&r sport springs, hence i got the perfect stance (front lower than back)
Thanx....
I am the kind of guy that will put 2 new tires on the rear instead of the front just because i hate seeing a car with the rear lower than the front.
I wanted to lower my car over 2 years now and i kept reading this forum over and over with 8 different brand springs in mind, until last week i threw the towel in and said fuck it, I am going H&R.
I had my fingers crossed when my mechanic finished putting the springs on and about to bring the jack down. It was a relief.
i bet the camry is to high of teh ground .... i tried today trying to hook up a coilover from another car wich at 1st it looked like it will fit... well everyting fitted exept the thing that holds up the spring at the top so i was like nah is not gnna work so i put everything back together

I did TRD's, but I don't think those are that easy to get ahold of... I would go with a name brand, and unless you want more that I think 1.2 inches (?) you're gonna have to get coilovers...
I never did answer your RMM lip question
Total thread jack: does anyone know where the OP can get a new Gen 3, not 3.5, RMM lip?

Eibach, H&R, TRD, etc for springs are all great. KYBs and Tokicos for struts. I have ZENN springs and KYB struts. I'm gonnna go a bit lower when I get my Tokicos soon. here's a pic for reference...

Its better to put new tires on rear anyway better handling I learned that when i went to a class on tires for my job.
I put Ksport springs on my 93 with oem struts and got an even 2" drop all around.I need to get some kyb struts to get the stance right but I think it looks nice but I hafta buy a camber kit now so I don't wear my tires out too.
^ That's a real good thread in the DIY, but I feel like that thread needs a lot of updating to reflect Coilover combinations that are now present, to account for people like me (who are potentially idiots) who did a drop on Monroe's...
Like I said, I feel it needs updating...

So far I'm getting Kyb's as well, but unsure of which lowering springs.....anyway how is the ride quality with the H&R springs??
It drives like a brand new car..
Those springs are the best.....my $235 on ebay was well spent. Moreover what i like about H&R is they have springs for each engine type. The rest of cheap springs only have one spring for the 4cyl and 6cyl.
H&R Sport Springs (which I haver for sale ) + Tokicos shocks + TRD or Whiteline sway bar. The end.
