1993 Camry Wagon V6 - New Toyota Owner

Hello there!
My name is Andrey. I've been a long time Honda / Acura owner and have come over to the dark side. Went through four cars in the last half year - 1989 CRX Si - 2000 Civic EX - 2000 Integra GSR - wagon. This purchase made financial sense and I really like the car!
Got this 1993 Camry V6 with 129 k miles for 2500. A couple of weeks and about 1000 bucks later (replaced AC compressor, replaced rear door lock assembly, Weapon R intake, GS300 wheels) here it is - http://www.toyotanation.com/photos/s...hp/photo/16903
There are a few more pics in the gallery.

Mods include the previously mentioned intake and lexus rims, Yakima Mega Warrior cargo box with kayak attachments (for 2 kayaks), blacked out badges (used to be gold), and a home made "1/2" lip - http://www.toyotanation.com/photos/s...hp/photo/16906 .

Its a totally different ride for me. First time automatic for me since I started driving (about 14 years ago). I like it so far. It feels like an old American wagon - smooth and powerfull. The only downside I see so far is that this thing is a gas guzzler! I am getting 20mpg compared to a low of like 32 with my GSR....

Comments on the wagon are welcomed.
Looking forward to participating and gaining knowledge.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

Its nice to have people with the same car (or similar) to discuss things.

Regarding the gas guzzling, I knew what was coming... and my commute is only 20 miles / day. It is cheaper for me to have one car that can handle 7 passengers and carry gear / kayaks then having two cars.

I've got most of the big issues worked out with the car, so now its just a matter of enjoying it. The last big thing that I am waiting for (bought on Ebay) is a spare. This car did not have anything. The dealer wanted like 200. No used ones around. After some searching, I found out that the new Ford Fusion / Mercury Millan has the same spare! The only difference is a larger center bore. Bought one on Ebay for 35 shipped.

I'll post some more pictures of the car in my gallery. Click the link in the first post to see them if interested. I've got the cargo box off for now - camping trip this weekend - need to carry three kayaks. I'll take some pics with a naked roof and post them.

Well... I hope it fits! If not, I'll have to throw it on my roof rack!

After making a bunch of calls to different dealers, I could not get any specs on the spare. Some said it was a full size, while others said temp. I could not post here at the moment, so I measured the height of the spare space and it was similar to the height of the full size wheel. But its much thinner. Also, I believe in the glovebox, there is a sticker that says something like, "Recommended spare size - 145-80-16". This is a very odd size making it hard to find. Using a tire size calculator this puts the height close to the full size wheel and the height in the spare compartment.

A search on Ebay for that tire size brings up Ford Fusion / Mercury Millan spares.
The bolt pattern on these is the same as our cars. Center bore is larger though. Because it is a spare, this is acceptable to me.
Searching for Fusion spare gives you many results ranging from 35 (best offer accepted) to 60 bucks.

Mine will be here any day - I'll let you know if it fits.

Sedans are Full spare, while the wagon with a 3rd row seat have a temporary spare. You cant use the sedan.
