Hey im trying to maximise the power that I can get out of my 2001 Camry CSi Wagon. Ive installed a CAI with a calibre pod filter w/ a heat shield and am replacing the spark plugs and all the wiring in the engine bay. I was wondering weather getting a computer performance chip would be beneficial? And also what are some other good performance based upgrades that can be done? (I am also thinking about suspension, possible strut/sway bars?)
Thanks.
think about suspension stuff first. theres little performace parts avalible for these engines for a good price but suspension upgrades make the car faster by way of good handling.
Alright thanks for the tip big bird, ive noticed that there hasn't been many easy performance upgrades for these cars. Ill have a look at some of the suspension upgrades, as im only 17 money is a bit of an issue but I get about $150 a week at least so shouldn't be to hard to save up some money
If this is the gen 4 wagon, please post some pics of it. ALso Welcome aboard with the wagon crew. Theres a few upgrade on performance, You just need to have the cash.
Yeah sorry about the response times haha, got Year 12 exams at school haha. Here are some pics of my wagon, all stock exterior atm, ive got two alpine Type-R subs in it with a Kicker ZX750.1 mono amp powering them, Ive also got 4 fusion splits on a fusion 600watt amp and a sony head unit, did all the wiring myself, I like my car audio but im starting to do some more performance based upgrades now haha. Ill get a photo of my engine bay soon after I finish making my box for my pod filter
(The amps are under the seats and yes, I did put the seats back in the car haha)
Yeah, im liking the shape of the car and lights, not really sure what visual mods I would do to it to make it look better, dont want to invest in something that turns out to look like crap haha. ill get some rims on there and get some suspension upgrades going to start off I think, im liking TN's members already haha
