Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
My camry has the automatic transmission and the overdrive is controled by a button on the shifter, when I push in the button the transmission jerks in and out of overdrive. I am at 60 or better when I engage the O/D, Whats causing this and whats my fix?
IIRC, You should never turn O/D OFF at that speed. Double check your owner's manual.

O/D should be on (orange light on the dash OFF) at all times under normal driving. Is it shifting rough only in/out of O/D?

It shifts good through all other gears, its only the O/D that is acting up.
There's allot of things that could keep OD on the blink so to speak. You have any details? Temperature, speed, trans condition, fluid level and condition. Is the OD light blinking on and off? You might pull in and have the CEL codes read. When is the last time it worked properly?

There are no codes on the computer, when im going over 60mph in O/D and come off the gas the trans shifts rapidly in and out of O/D, its also slow to engage into 1st gear from a dead stop?
