Question Big 3 (Car audio)

Okay so I know how to do the big three on your alternator and battery, but I am confused what you do with the previous wires running to the battery. From what I have interpreted is that you are to wrap the ends in electrical tape and no longer use them. Can anyone clarify for me? Thanks!

BTW this is for a 1998 Toyota Camry V6 3.0L

So my interpretation was correct? You no longer use the wires after doing the "Big 3"?

Correct, you can take them out since they are no longer in use.

There is no need to remove them, it's fine to use the old wires as well as the new ones, or you can remove them, it's up to you. the alternator power wire is the only one that would be more of a pain to remove than to not, so if your not going to use it I suggest zip tying it out of the way where it won't get caught up in the belt or anywhere else.

Alright thanks...... I just wasn't sure if they were still needed or not. I just thought they were because they were also wires that powered the circuitry electronics in the car and what not. Thanks!
