Vibration in steering

I have a 94 V6 Camry and I keep experiencing vibration in my steering wheel. It occurs at low speeds and high speeds but as I increase speed, the vibration gets worse. I got my alignment done a couple of months ago and the tire tech told me I had "choppy" tires-Could this be the source of my problems?

Possibly, since it increases as your speed increases. It can also be improper tire/wheel balancing, a bent wheel, an extremely warped rotor making contact with the brake pads as it rotates, or even a bad suspension component. You need to have these things checked out. Did this happen after rotoating the tires fornt to back and not having rotated them for quite a few miles? That can be another cause.

This happened only after I rotated the tires after a LONG period of time. I did hit the curb once prior to rotating the tires but that messed up my alignment (hence why I had to get my alignment done). Guess I have to wait till my tires decide to wear evenly...

It sounds like the tires that were in the rear and are now on the front have become cupped. This can happen in front wheel drive cars when the tires are not rotated for a long period of time. Since most of the weight (probably 70%) is up front, the rear tires have a tendancy to literally bounce up and down. After a period of time the rear tires will actually become cupped form all the bouncing. Rotate them to the front and it can cause this problem. You now have 3 choices.
1. Live with the problem. That really depends upon how bad things are.
2. Purchase 2 new tires for the front.
3. Rotate the tires back where they were and buy an entire new set when they are needed

^+1 on the 3 choices . . .

but I wouldn't hesitate to have the tires balanced again.
