wut? 17x8.5 ... updated pics w/ alignment and camber!
Hey guys, here's a few pictures of the stupid wide wheels that i bought- some will probably scoff at the fact that it's a staggered fitment, but don't you worry! .. i can assure you that the 9" are in the front and the rears are the 8.5, it took me forever and a day to find a staggered fitment wheel with the same size lips to run reverse staggered and still be useful yet proper.
I'm actually getting her ready to put it down for us camrys in a few large toyota meets here in norcal coming up in the next couple months. - probably even socal?.. LOL!
anyways- its not wallpaper status, but i think my camera phone took decent shots. hahaha!
im gonna have to say these are the least attractive wheels ive seen you use. not a fan of wheel poke, especially when there's, from the pics at least, no camber. that being said i lov your car and it still looks good.
Oh and staggered is sexy, you should see megamac's car. same sixe front and back but staggered offset and it looks amazing!!!
Hey guys- sorry for the late response, we mounted the wheels on and burnt the bajeezes out of my rear fender. LOL! i guess we need more pull- so we pulled it more, dropped it a little, maxed out the front coilovers and yeah - it works well now!
this morning, worked on it a little more, then brought it over to get alignment and neg. cambered- I have 1.75 in front and 1 in the rears.. no rubbing at all except on the frame hitting the road.
bigbird: thanks man! - i know this isn't a lot of people's cup of tea, but i too have wishes of pushing the bar higher for the gen 4.
prnce_chrmng: i'll be in the south probably mid july, - haha! i'll put on so much miles on these wheels before i sell them.
95camry5sp: 18x10 +20 is doable, but 17x9 +15 already requires the whole shabang to make it work.. so lemme know when yr about to do the work- im more than down to help you with this project.
ghettosled: thanks man! yes i can turn the wheel from lock to lock even with the 9". lol, i didn't think i would be able to- so in the back of my mind.. my 3pt. turn just became a 7pt. turn!
