96 Camry V6 LE - power lock & a/c problem

1996 Toyota Camry V6 LE, just shy of 200k miles, car still runs great, but had a couple problems that I hope can get some answers and repair tips here..

1. driver side power lock sometimes work and sometimes doesn't...
When it work, it would work just fine, when it doesn't it seems like the power lock is trying to lock/unlock but just doesn't have enough to make the jump..
all 3 other sides and all 4 power window works, the car also lock/unlock w/ key just fine

2. there is also a burning smell coming from a/c vent when set to ventilate air, if move the lever to inside circulatoin, then the burning smell is gone..the burning smell probably is coming from inside the engine compartment and my guess maybe one of the hose has a crack or something

3. light under D (shiftgear indicator) on the odometer and lights under a/c control both are out..I think I can change the bulb for the a/c control but not sure how difficult it will be to change the bulb for the shiftgear indicator

4. there is a rattling sound coming from the front passenger side, I have tried to push the panel, a-pillar, door, but can't figure out where is the sound coming from..

OK, I did some search and looks like the power lock problem most likely is due to bend/cut wire, solinoid could be failing too..
I will also check the oil leak as the burning smell most likely is oil drip onto exhaust pipe..

However, the a/c lights, all the lights for my a/c control has gone bad so I don't think it's burn bulb, not likely all the bulbs will be burned at the same time right? could it be fuse?

^ If all of those lights are out, and no fuses are bad, 90% of the time the dimmer knob internal circuitry is fried. It happened to me and it's happened to other members. I think we can call it a "common problem." As you said, It's HIGHLY unlikely that all those bulbs went bad at once.

I was able to tackle the burned out D bulb and climate control lights w/ the help of the forum..now I am moving on to the next task..the driver side power lock issue..

Again, thanks to the forum, I have pretty much narrow the problem down to bend/cut wires as the cause for the sometimes work sometimes not driver side power lock issue..(solinoid should be fine b/c I have no problem unlock driver side from passenger side power lock button) I was also to find the door panel removal guide but can't find any related thread about if anyone has successfully change out the entire wiring harness??

If it's not practical to change out the entire harness, I can take the alternative route and change out the bend/cut wires one by one, but again, I can't find any picture guide only text guide about how to proceed..

As far as burning oil smell, I think I will have the shop change out both valve gaskets and o-ring, other than these 2 items, anything else that might cause the oil burning smell??
