My father just bought a 99 2.2/5MT w/60,000 miles, but a few issues...

My father just bought a 1999 Camry with the 2.2/5MT combo, 60,000 original miles, for $4500. Car is mint.

Few issues we found however, that didn't appear during the two test drives, and the asshat seller never told us

First, the cruise control. You can turn it on, and the CRUISE light is solid, but when you go to set it, the CRUISE light just keeps blinking. I'm thinking maybe the brake switch?

Second, the gas tank. The last 8-10 gallons takes forever to fill, because the pump keeps clicking off over and over. I'm pretty sure this is a clogged vent line somewhere as I've death with it before, or a clogged charcoal canister. Anyone give me any ideas on where to start looking??

Third, the gas cap doesn't pop off when you pull the lever inside the driver's side door. Could this be the cap solenoid/actuator?

Thanks for any tips you can give me guys!

The gas cap is probably just the fuel door spring that's not sitting right or just missing completely.

^ +1. And the cruise control is gonna be an annoyance to fix. Here's a link to the factory manuals. There's troubleshooting procedures in there. http://camrystuff.com/
