Intermittent Start, 1998 Camry, 4c

I am new to this forum. This is my 1st post. I own a 1998 Camry, 4c and have been experiencing a "click" when attempting to start my engine [cold]. This used to occur once a month and now occurs daily. It does start after several "clicks". I checked my Haynes wiring diagram and wanted to first check the subtle, easy items. I tried to remove the Starting Relay to test it--no way. It is wedged between 2 stiff plastic supports. I also bent the tab away from the relay which contains a holding pin. This pin mates with the relay and adds support. The best I could do is slightly rock the relay. The relay seems to be sitting on a pedestal. I did not want to chance damaging the socket, so I have stopped for now.

Coincidentally, for the next several days, the engine started fine each time. It is now starting to act crazy again. I'm wondering if the relay prongs may be oxidized and disturbing them might have slightly burnished them.

My questions: Is there a special relay remover tool out there to safely remove relays?

Or, have I overlooked something obvious?

I would appreciate your insight[s] on this problem. Sorry to be so wordy.

Thank you for your courtesies.

That one click is the classic symptom of worn contacts in the starter's solenoid. That one click is actually the relay doing it's job. It should be OK. Do a search on this forum for "starter contacts' and read up on it's causes and cures and how to easily test for this. It has been discussed here numerous times.
