Post Aftermarket Alarm

Hey guys, I was wondering if the wiring are the same between the 3Gen and 4Gen because all I see is the DIY for the 4Gen. My little brother just recently got a 93 Camry V4 and I'm about to install an alarm for him. If they are the same, I'd appreciate the answer, thanks guys.

Unless you have an old '67 Saab it's an Inline 4 engine (I4). The wiring is very similar between the gen 3 and 4. I've done the install myself in the gen 3 using the gen 4 guide as an aid. The only thing i'd check before is the wiring diagrams on the12volt.com. Are you just installing a keyless entry system or is it remote start as well?

Does the Gen 3 have a pre-wired alarm connector under the driver seat?

Keyless Entry, no remote start. Thanks for the help. I'll use the guide for the 4Gen.

Just be sure to check on those wires on the12volt.com. IIRC, they're green and light green for the lock/unlock.

I just got it half done. The only thing that I need to do is install the siren, and hood latch. I love using the multimeter. Thanks again .

Forgot to mention, how do I install the 8618 starter killer relay? Do I hook that up to the starter? It has 2 wires hanging off a green and a black. The alarm I got him is a Python Responder 460. The manual doesn't say anything about it.
