Test Question - Should Be Easy

For those of you who have done an EGR delete, I have a 97 camry, have done the delete, but obviously resisted the wrong wire! haha. There are three wires going in to the EGR valve on the upper intake plenum. Which wire(s) need to get resisted/how does the set up look? I did the search on the forum - I am no noob, but looks like the question has been asked multiple times, but never answered!

Car - 97 1mz

any chance you have a picture? for some reason mine has three that go in to the EGR valve on the intake plenum. One striped and two solid colors...I'll upload a picture of what i got when i get off work, but any help is appreciated. Unless, is the resistor mod not meant to be on the EGR valve assembly itself?

Looks like the ECM would be OK with anything from 1kohm to 4.3Kohm according to some of the tests for proper operation at 150degrees C.

this has been an issue for the gen4 people. on the gen3 you simply insert a 10K ohm 1/2 watt resistor and that tricks the puter and clears any code. on the gen4/solara, this has failed with several differnt resistors. it works for a short period of time but then the code pops back up. as far as i know, a perfect solution has yet to be figured out but there is a lot of information on this on Solaraguy.com
