5S-FE 2.2L which sensor sits on top of differential ?

hello TN maniacs

I have a quicky. recently noticed i have a minor (veeery slow) leak of coolant from the hose (there is 2 of them) going through firewall to the cabin. i think they are connected to the heater core or something in there ?

anyways, that coolant slowly drips right onto an electrical connector of some sensor sitting on top of the differential. so as of now it looks wet and dirty. what is that sensor for ?

should i be worried ? no CEL, no errors, just trying to fix all minor bull shit under hood and making sure all systems are working correctly (both mechanically and electrically speaking).

How many wires? Closest sensor I can think of is the vehicle speed sensor which has 3 wires. It drives your speedo.

right, i think this is it then. don't remember the number of wires, possible that it was 3. does it feed both vehicle speed and engine speed to the ECM or the dash gauges only ?

btw, that wet substance on the hose and sensor was not coolant (mine is red), while that crap was more like yellow, i think it was an old leftover from spraying wd-40 when i was looking for vacuum leaks. or it was an oil spill from my former leaky valve cover gasket (was leaking on this side too).
for now i sprayed the wire and sensor with QD electrical cleaner. will take a closer look next time i do the transmission/differential job.
