4th Generation 97 Camry LE Door Locks Gone Loco

It's a 5S-FE with about 112,000 miles. No visible deterioration or rust anywhere. It is equipped with power locks. All the power locks seem to work ok. However, all the locks start to lock and unlock simultaneously on their own while driving. It seems to happen after the car gets hot from exposure to sunlight. No other electrical malfunctions. I've removed the door lock fuse as a temporary solution - however this means that the locks are all manual, a loss of functionality. Before I start randomly ripping and replacing stuff (master switch, passenger switch, integration relay behind driver kick panel, door lock module behind passenger kick panel, etc.) does anyone have any ideas on what I should focus on? Thank you for your help.

Could it be something as simple as one of the lock/unlock switches is flaking out? Do you have a keyless remote?

I have a similar problem with my 97 LE. They unlock on their own. Never locks, only unlocks. I have only known it to happen when the key is in the ignition, tho I have only had it since feb. I have the dealer or factory installed rs3000. the alarm system functions correctly......

I don't know whether this car ever had a keyless remote, and I don't really know what to look for to determine that.

I intend to test the switches by disconnecting them one by one to see whether that changes anything.

Sounds like you have the dreaded frayed wiring in the driver's door...
