Headlamp aiming gauge '97

I searched the forum and found a lot of good stuff about aiming the headlamps. However, nobody ever mentioned how exactly you can tell if your headlights are aimed correctly without using a wall. In my Accord, the headlamps have indicators that tell you when your aim is correct, for both horizontal and vertical. They're not exactly the most accurate but seem to work well for the most part. So my question is, does the 4th gen Camry also have these indicators? Or do I have to go and find a damn flat street with a wall at the end of it in hilly SF?

Use your garage door, or find a parking garage.

No, there aren't any indicators. The proper alignment can be found in a chilton manual, but roughly the angle is such that for every 25', the top of the beam must drop 1.2(?) inches.

BTW, if you'd like, flag me down and say "hi" since you're in the city. I'm always out and about on the weekends.

Okay good measurements, but what are the beginning dimensions? Ex. at 25' away from a perpendicular surface, the "intense" part of the headlamp should be at x inches above the ground. Do you mean drop 1.2" from the middle of the headlamp?
