How do I replace HVAC instr. lights '92?

Those indicators don't light up anymore, the ones behind the recirculate and fresh air signs and the ones behind fan speed and various vents. If anyone knows, please let me know. It's awfully dark now. First sign of problems on this car.

I've only taken apart Gen2 dashes so Gen3 owners correct me if i'm wrong. When you take the center console trim off it reveals 4 screws that appear to hold on the HVAC controls. Unfortunately when you remove these screws the HVAC controls don't come out. After much frustration and fury i managed to pull half the unit out breaking the connectors and leaving one of the little mini wedge bulbs dangling. Thank goodness for junkyards! It's great to have something to test out ideas on guilt free. Hope you don't have this prob on your Gen3. I'd recommend checking out your local yard for a Gen3 to tinker on before you dive into your baby.
