4th Generation '99 Camry XLE: Cruise control light not working - but cruise works

Hi folks,

I searched the forums for an answer but didn't find anything so I figured I'd start a thread.

I have a US built 1999 Camry XLE, 6 cylinder, automatic, A/C, etc.

The cruise control engage light (the green light on the dash) has stopped working. However the cruise control works fine. All other interior and exterior lights work, and the engine runs like a champ. In other words nothing else seems to be malfunctioning.

I checked the owner's manual, there is one sentence that simply states if the cruise control (engage) light stops working to take the car to the dealer.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help!

i would think the dash light itself just went out.

Hello AbeW330,

Thanks a lot for responding, and thanks greatly for pointing me to the instrument cluster thread. I'll give it shot.
