I think I know what it is. I believe it has something to do with cabin air, and filtration of some sort...

That explains the two square holes in the rear deck. Another super rare part. I googled the part number, and could find anything.

Rear A/C or rear heater. whatever it is it's a rare part, well, parts if you consider the matching deck panel.
