G20 summit, toyota camry, exhaust

I only mentioned the g20 because i live in toronto and am just considering leaving my 94 2.2 camry downtown. i have comprehensive coverage so maybe the insurance company will just pay me out and i can get a new car after the protesters light it on fire. joking, haha.

Okay, I have an exhaust leak between the muffler and centre pipe. There is corrision. The direct fit is rusted, and corrided. It breaks off it is so rusted. The pipes and muffler are good though. Is there some repair I can do aside from replacing the centre pipe and muffler? I just used aluminum tape today, it works, but of course this is not a permanent solution. I really dont want to spend hundreds of dollars.

Take it to a muffler shop, ask if they will chop and weld a new piece on. Since you are in Toronto you can try a place called auto express, they are located on ellesmere and warden. Their number is 416-293-5518. I was quoted $60.00 for that same job.

As far as the G20, don't leave your car outside. I'm in Pittsburgh and judging from last year the protesters for the most part (not all of them) are insane and will do anything. I saw more car vandalism from the Superbowl, but the G20 protesters are nothing short of crazy. Just find a safe place to keep it, trust me you'll feel a lot better.

For the exhaust leak, if you can just weld a new section of pipe in.
